In the life of every family, there are moments when it is good to pause, look back, and give thanks. For us at Holy Family Home, this year’s Saint Jeanne Jugan Gala will be one of those moments. We invite you to join on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at The Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill. The Gala is more than just a date on the calendar. It is our largest annual gathering of gratitude and crucial support. Your presence ensures that the Little Sisters can continue caring for and about the elderly poor with compassion and love for years to come.
Honoring Our Roots
This year, we will recognize the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for over 150 years of friendship and faithful support. Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will accept the honor on behalf of the Archdiocese. Our story in Philadelphia began in 1869 when Archbishop James Wood first invited the Little Sisters of the Poor to bring Jeanne Jugan’s Charism of Hospitality to the needy elderly in the City of Brotherly Love. Since that invitation, generations of parish communities, benefactors, volunteers, and friends have carried our mission forward. Because of you, our newly rebuilt and renewed Holy Family Home continues to offer safety, comfort, and dignity to the elderly in a family atmosphere.
Why Your Support Matters Today
The reopening of Holy Family Home is just the beginning of a beautiful new chapter. Every single day, our mission continues:
- Residents need daily love and specialized care.
- Nutritious meals must be prepared to be shared by all.
- Dedicated staff and volunteers must be supported.
- Our Home must go on as a witness to Divine Providence at work today, through you.
