Pat Lo’s Retirement

By October 19, 2025No Comments

“Here I am with everyone I love in one room!” Pat exclaimed at her Retirement Party. Yes, our Patricia Lo retired officially on October 15, 2025, on her 33rd Anniversary of being part of Holy Family Home where she has served with loyal devotedness as Business Manager, Administrator, Development Secretary, Coordinator of the Jeanne Jugan Association, and trusted counselor to eight Mothers Superior, countless Little Sisters, Department Heads, staff, families of Residents, volunteers, friends and benefactors of the Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor at 5300 Chester Ave.

From near and far, those gathered to honor her, one after the other, tried to express their heartfelt thanks for her dedicated presence and support. She received recognition from her collaborators on the Advisory Board, her co-workers, (including “the two Kathy’s” who welcomed her on board 33 years ago,) her Little Sisters, and her many admirers. Pat responded by assuring them all: “We are not just co-workers, we are friends with a shared mission.” She said learned that from her father who told her when she would be working overtime, that she didn’t have a job with the Little Sisters, she had a mission. Cake and ice cream were enjoyed by all.

Happily, “Ce n’est qu’une au revoir” – “Until we meet again” as Pat will be on call as AJJ Coordinator and as our “go-to” for eventual questions from all departments, for she shared her talents on all levels, in all directions. We are grateful to God for all Pat Lo is for us, and continues to be for us, in the spirit of Jeanne Jugan!
