Although the Covid Pandemic incarcerated the whole world in various ways, it didn’t let the Little Sisters of the Poor separate their Residents from the Love of Jesus and Mary as well as their brothers and sisters. This happened by means of streaming Holy Mass to their rooms and providing Zoom Rosaries and Face Time visits. In Philadelphia, a vocation Rosary for Residents in their rooms and young women in college or work environments was organized. They began by using FaceTime and then, Zoom. During the pandemic, thanks to modern technology, individual Residents were united in prayer with participating young women in California and Massachusetts. And it didn’t stop there! Now, with Covid restrictions eased, Michaela Gallagher in Boston faithfully sends out an invitation to the Zoom session at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Happily, both apartment and nursing Residents can come together for their weekly Rosary with their prayer partners in the Homes in Philadelphia and Totowa.
