Welcoming A Very Special Guest to Holy Family Home
“A very important guest is coming to our home!” announced Mother Celine Therese on July 23. “Guess who!” “Archbishop Perez?” “No!Even more important!” “Pope Francis?” “No! Even more important!” “Who can it be?” “Our Blessed Mother!”
Thanks to Helena and Lucas Kim, we welcomed the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima for Home Visitation!
Father Sullivan celebrated her arrival in the Chapel with the recitation of the rosary and accompanying prayers. Then eager apartment Residents offered prayerful hospitality to the Pilgrim Statue in their flats. When asked “Why?” this is what they responded:
Linda
I would like to have the statue of Our Lady of Fatima because having her would help my family and let them come to pray with me in front of her.
Sandra
I would like to have her to help me to pray, to make me more loving and humble.
Lily
Because I used to have her in my home. I always held her in honor and when my girls came home we prayed together.
Ida
Because I love her and I talk to her all the time.
Bill
To venerate and pray to her.
Kathleen D.
So that I can pray to her and make my intentions.
Christina
Because she is special, I used to belong to the “Legion of Mary” and as President, I was the one in charge of passing the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes to families, from house to house.
Paul
Just as St John welcomed Mary into his home, I will be honored and humbled to take her into my home.
