Thanksgiving Spotlight on Divine Providence
Time and again, gratitude for Divine Providence wells up in hearts at Holy Family Home. This is especially true at Thanksgiving time when we sing with our Mother, St. Jeanne Jugan: “We must always say, Blessed be God! Thank you, my God! He is so good, God!”
Pictured below are some generous volunteers from St. John Neumann Parish in Bryn Mawr, PA.
This parish has been donating wonderful bounty for seven years, ever since a gentleman, Al Phelan, asked Sr. Veronica during her annual appeal in the parish if the Residents of Holy Family Home would like some food for Thanksgiving – especially some turkeys! Over the last 3-4 years, what began as six turkeys became 40, with all the trimmings and pies for dessert! Al Phelan has since passed away, but the tradition he started is being carried on! Blessed be God! Thank you, my God!
