Awesome Autumn Adventures
It’s always the “Season of Creation” when you know how to celebrate God’s creative goodness! Dorothy G. and Dolores M. went with Kelly, our Activity Coordinator, to fetch a bit of Nature to bring back to the City for the Residents of Holy Family Home. For years, our good benefactors at Duffield Farms in N.J. have invited us to pick pumpkins from their patch for a pumpkin decorating contest. Residents, Staff, and Sisters vie to come up with the most original creation. It’s a great autumn activity.

Another awesome autumn activity was a trip to Linvilla Orchards, a family owned farm dedicated to educating and entertaining visitors of all ages. After 18 months of COVID restrictions, our Residents were happy to breathe in the country air just 30 minutes outside Southwest Philly, to explore the farmland and animal stalls, to shop at the farmer’s market, and to bless the Lord of all creation.
