A Great Gathering with Gratitude Galore
As St. Jeanne Jugan would have it, the Gala this year was again a wonderful, warm recognition of our good benefactors. In becoming a beggar to provide for the needy elderly persons who came her way, Jeanne Jugan saw how soliciting could be a means of setting up a network of charity in which many would be given not only the opportunity to give, but also to receive.
In giving of their resources, they would share in the blessings of caring about others. Wonderful things happened in the lives of those who came to her assistance! Eavesdropping at the 2023 Gala, Jeanne would have witnessed her dream come true. She would have heard Little Sisters expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the generosity of those who support Holy Family Home, as well as the recounting of many sacred signs of God’s presence at work in the lives of givers and receivers alike. We all know “God is never out done in generosity!”
Here are a few photos and a few details about our two honorees:
• The Board of St. Francis who, providentially for us, adopted Holy Family Home in 2017 when St. Francis Country House was transferred to a for-profit organization.
• Dick and Angela Clark who generously offered to direct the Capital Campaign for the Updating & Renovation of Holy Family Home.
