Mothers’ Day Treat
Sunday, May 14, Mothers’ Day, was celebrated with “Breakfast-Made-to-Order.” The Little Sisters had a quick “pick-up breakfast” and then went to take orders, help cook, and joyfully serve Independent as well as Skilled Care Residents, all gathered in the one Dining Room available because of the ongoing Building Project. Our Chaplain, Father James Sullivan, gave the blessing.
Our Administrator, Pat Lo, our Director of Nursing, Lisa, with her brother and his wife, our devoted healthcare workers, and our trusty kitchen crew joined in, scurrying around to satisfy individual tastes and then enjoying the morning specialties themselves. It was a fabulous family feast! The “Icing-On-The-Cake” came with our Mothers’ Day Mass. Many family members were present. Sr. Thomasina, RSM and St. Dorothy’s Parish Choir served as Music Ministers. Father Sullivan’s homily brought in the Scripture readings to make this occasion focus on our gratitude to God for all Mothers and the gift of life.
