An Enterprising Grandfather

As a young volunteer and then as an activity aide at Holy Family Home, Lucy loved to tell her grandfather all about her experiences with the elderly. Listening to her got him thinking. James is 87 years of age and wanted to do something to help others. He chose to sit out in front of his beach-front home in Cape May, NJ several hours a day all summer with a jar for donations and a sign saying – “Zinnia Bouquet, Free Will Offerings for the Philadelphia Little Sisters of the Poor!” By summer’s end he collected $535!
